Agent Q is an AI-powered chat assistant designed to help you navigate Gen Con Housing. It can instantly answer many questions using the information published in our Help Center — but it works best when you follow a few simple guidelines.
Tell Agent Q your registrant group.
Your registrant group affects how you access the housing portal, when you can book, and what booking rules apply to you. To help Agent Q give the most accurate information, include your registrant group in your questions, such as:
- “How do attendees book rooms?”
- “How do exhibitors access the housing portal?”
- “How do professionals modify a booking?”
If you aren’t sure which group you belong to, you can ask it: “How do I know my registrant group?”
Ask clear, specific questions in context of registrant group.
Agent Q works best with direct, focused questions. Examples include:
- “How many rooms can exhibitors book?”
- “How do attendees change or cancel a room assignment?”
- “How do professionals know their access code?”
If your question relates to a specific action — booking, modifying, canceling, accessing the portal — mentioning that action helps too.
What Agent Q Cannot Help with…
For privacy and security reasons, Agent Q does not have access to:
- Your Gen Con account information (customer ID#, badge #, transaction history, etc.)
- Your room assignment details (acknowledgment #, stay dates, hotel or room type, guest information, and billing details)
- ⚠ Important! Agent Q cannot book, modify, or cancel room assignments for you. If your question requires access to your specific booking(s), Agent Q will prompt you to submit a support request to a human agent.
