Trade Day Attendees are eligible to book, modify, and cancel room assignments through the housing portal during the registration period.
Trade Day Attendees can access the housing portal to book and manage room assignments using access buttons located on the My Housing tab of their Gen Con accounts.
Trade Day Attendees are assigned one Request Room button per Trade Day badge purchased in the account.
Buttons update dynamically — if you purchase more badges later, your total number of buttons will increase and appear in your account automatically. For example, if you buy one badge initially one button will populate in your account. If you buy a second badge later, another button will populate in your account.
Each Request Room button may be used to book one room. After using a button to book a room, the button label will change to “Manage Room”, thereby signaling the button has been used and may be pressed again to manage (modify or cancel) the room assignment connected to it.
The Gen Con account holder who purchases the badges also books and manages the room assignments using the buttons in their account. The account holder retains control of each room assignment and is responsible for any cancellation fees incurred. Room assignments booked in one Gen Con account cannot be transferred to another Gen Con account, though guest names may be updated and unneeded room assignments may be cancelled (doing so incurs fees — see Payments articles for more information).
